But every schools has at least 1 or 2 rivalries that are important
to both the school and the fan base. I don't consider the UNC-UVA, FSU-Miami, Miami-VT, Duke-UNC, UNC-NC State, Clemson-NC State (aka Textile Bowl), or Clemson-FSU to be more than the UVA-VT rivalry. It is even possible that the other 12 schools and their fan bases feel the same way about the rivalries that I mentioned as it relates to their school's rivalries. If a conference is going to grow and survive, then it should treat each rivalry with the same level of respect and importance. Otherwise, what is the point of being in a conference that deems a school's "important rivalries" as not being important enough? [Post edited by VTHokie2000 at 01/28/2022 3:37PM]
